all-state player in high school. He then went on to play college basketball, playing both at Division II and III levels.

Brian had a very successful coaching career, serving as the girls' varsity assistant at Pella High School. A gifted speaker and motivator, Brian has coached at camps and clinics around the country for nearly 20 years.

Always a student of the game, Brian has had the privilege of working with some of the best instructors in basketball including: Ganon Baker, Jay Wolf, BJ Mulder and Tom Noordland.

Taking the best and most innovative ideas from each of these great teachers, Brian has developed a unique program of training which is now Stand F.I.R.M. Basketball Academy.

We focus on developing FUNDAMENTALS through innovative drills. A greater emphasis will be placed on IMPROVEMENT of form and technique rather than outcome. We use REPETITION to establish muscle memory and a unique teaching style to create MOTIVATION.

MISSION STATEMENT: Stand FIRM Basketball Academy is more than basketball - it is about life. We know that basketball is only a small part of a person's life - we hope to show, by our example, what is really important: a relationship with Jesus Christ.
